Introduction

Split Path is a short game where you switch between two halves of a soul seeking to reunite. One half sees all the highs (or hills) in life, while the other sees all the lows (or pits). You must navigate and switch seamlessly between each perspective to find peace and become whole again. 

This game was created in two days using free assets from Pixabay and the Unity Asset Store. Because of the tight deadline, there is a persistent bug that causes the player to face the wrong direction when switching.

Updates

With additional time I'm hoping to expand and improve on this small game concept! In this version I've temporarily removed the aesthetic of the game to focus on the core mechanics and fixing bugs. I've introduced enemies to as a small barrier to the journey, which I'm currently using free assets for to serve as a quick placeholder. I've particularly enjoyed learning about AI Pathfinding through this process! Eventually I'll be replacing these free assets, along with the ones from the first version with my own to create a more unified atmospheric style. If possible I'll be implementing a narrative through environmental design and dialogue.
